We are flying into Arlan/ARN airport and usually travel pretty cheap - whats the best way to get to the city centre? We were looking at staying at the Ibis Haegersten, but it looked pretty far from the city - am I correct? thanks,

1. Flight bus - every 10 minutes. By far the cheapest way and efficient.



2. Hagersten is on the "red" underground line. It is about 20 minutes (by underground) from the centre and about 10 minutes from Soder - the south side and most interesting part of the city. I have no idea how far it is from the hotel to the underground station.



Entertainment in Hagersten itself is pretty limited - I would imagine it consists of a few alcoholics having a fight in a bad pizzeria.

I agree whith "stockmos". If you like Ikea there is not so far from there. It,s also a big fleemarket in Skrholmen also in the area. when you go by the red line you have to choises. nr 14 diection Frungen to station Vstertorp (Vstertorpsvgen) and walk about 800mts, or go by nr 13 direction Norsborg to Bredng and take a bus nr 135 direction Hgersten ,station Slttensgrd. Maybe you shall take another hotel, this one is better if you have a car during the stay. I would recommend a hotel in Sdermalm that usually have resonable prices called Victoria (or Viktoria), Its lokated one station from the centralstation whith pendeltrain. you get more quality of your stay if you skip long travells to the suburbs. but some of the suburbs have nice shoppingcenters but its better to choose one for a trip and stay in the city for the rest of the time. One thing you must do is to take a boattrip to the archipelago!
