last minute deal available on an apartment if you're interested due to cancellation. my girlfriend and I had rented an apartment from 16th-23rd but cannot take it. its a one bed flat with sofa bed, can accommodate 4, one block from copacabana beach with 24 hour security. at 1900 reais its a really good deal, especially at the last minute. photos available on request. you'll be doing us a big favour as we'll lose our deposit if its not rented for those dates.

just rented the flat im afraid but i can find out if its available for the week after and post a message tomorrow if youre still interested. ive seen lots of notices in internet cafes for apartments so that could be another option for you.
