We are a group of young professionals making our first trip to the beautiful Ambergris Caye. We are currently searching for a villa and would appreciate any advice or past experience. We are particularly considering Stella di Mare' and Calm Caye Villa. Also any advice regarding staying North vs South of the Boca del Rio. Thanks.

Personally, I would stay south of the 'cut'. Having to either rent a golf cart or take water taxis every where is just too much of a hassle (and expense) for me. On the south end of the island, cabs are cheap and plentiful if you decide you don't want to walk. Other people love the seclusion of being up north. I guess it depends on how much time you plan on spending in town. Jean
