I read in one of my guidebooks that Navy Day (parade of military ships, submarines, and civilian vessels down the Neva) is supposed to occur on the first Sunday after the 22nd of July. Since the 22nd is a Sunday this year, I was wondering whether it will be on the 22nd or the 29th!



As someone interested in ships, I would really like to see this. When is the best time to watch this (we will allocate perhaps a couple of hours)? What are the best vantage points?
