looking for some advice on any safety issues if you are a single female traveller in ba - apart form the usual don't walk alone in the dark etc. is ba a safe city for a lone female or does it have a bad reputation ?

My wife and I (both near 50 from Atlanta, GA) just returned from Buenos Aires in April 2006. My wife speaks fluent French and very good Spanish. We stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel for 6 nights.

I was hoping to visit Colonia on the 28th of April, but the fast ferry is already sold out online. Would calling Buquebus directly or contacting a travel agent possibly get me a ticket? Any other recommendations for how to get there?
