Any advice about how to see all the types of penguins in a day on a cruise stop in February at Stanley? Princess offers a Rockhopper Island tour, a Bluff Cove tour, a Sparrow Cove tour and Kidney Island. Anyone been on any of these to compare?

We will be in Stanley from 10-4 in March(25) on a Cruise ship. It isn't enough time to go to volunteer point, which I heard was the best penquin encounter. I am a real animal lover, and was interested in the Rockhoppers, because they are so cute, and the cruise ship offers an excersion to Murrel Farm to see them....has anyone been there? Can you get up close to photograph them there? I really would ...

Which is the best penguin habitatto visit in Stanley if you only have time for one excursion? We are going to be there in December. Also, does it make a difference on the time of day? Is morning or afternoon better viewing for penguin activity or does it make a difference in the weather, etc?

For the day the news broke Air Italia took over.
For the next few weeks it's apparently Air Tahiti.
After that they are waiting for another company to get permissions or something.

I would like to know whether there is
any car rental company that I can rent a 4x4
for a day? Any website/email?
I am interested in going to Volunteer point,
but I found that all of the companies I
contacted has fully booked. So I wonder
whether it is possible that I go there myself.
Thanks for any information.

We'll be at STANLEY at the beginning of February. We''ll reach it in a cruise. They offer shore tours, but we would prefer to book with local directly. I downloaded the VISITOR GUIDE from the TOURIST BOARD and wrote some mails to peopple there but nobody answered me.
I would like if you tell me about links or e-mails of people who certainly take you to the places that you shouldn't miss. I know that ...

This is a description of the day spent by two semi-retired older cruisers and their almost 21 year old son, sailing on a two-week cruise around the Horn on the NCL Sun in January, 2010.
This morning we woke to cloudy skies. The forecast was supposed to be 59F and partly cloudy, but this morning it was entirely cloudy. The good news was that it wasnt raining and the seas were calm, so tendering got ...
