We're arriving in the Cinque Terre region March 7......and still do not have reservations. Our main objective is to find a spot with a great view, where we can sit and sip wine. I know a few places are not even open this early in the season. We actually are going to be in Rome for about four days prior to this. Are alittle worried about it being bad weather, and were considering leaving our ...

How do people get around Tuscany? We are wondering if we should plan on buses, rental car, or vespas? My husband wants to rent vespas, but I am not sure if they are available in Siena or even practical in the countryside.
Any info????
Thx - Priya

My wife and I will be for the first time visiting Rome for 4 nights in April and then returning for 3 nights for our return trip home out of FCO airport. It seems that you get better location for the price with apartments. For short duration stays of 4 and 3 nights could anyone give me their opinion on hotel versurs apartment benefits and costs.

Any ladies out there with narrow feet bought beautiful, stylish, Italian leather shoes? Or are we as discriminated there as we are in the USA because of our narrow feet? I want to come home from my trip in May with a beautiful pair of Italian leather shoes.

My husband and I are traveling to Italy for the first time this June. We are spending 3 days in Rome and want to take a train to Portofino for a couple of nights before heading to Florence. What train would we take to get to Portofino and how long is the trip? Also, what train would we take to get to Florence and how long is that trip as well?

I'll be staying in Venice for two nights (Friday and Saturday). My plane leaves Venice airport early Sunday morning (7:45 am).
My question is...should I just stay in a hotel near the airport, since I have to get up so early Sunday morning? If so, can you recommend an hotels near the airport?
I do see that the alilaguna has a route between 4:20-5:45am (arrive airport). So that is an option if I want to ...

My husband will be attending a conference at Bocconi University this summer. Can someone recommend a hotel for us? We can pay up to 200 EUros/night, but would prefer to pay between 150 and 200 EUros/ night.

What is the average cost of a ticket to see an Opera in June at the Alla Scala theatre and how fast are they sold?
If I stay up all night trying to buy the tickets online on the start day of selling the ticket, will I be able to get through and buy the tickets?
What is the most reasonably priced and good seating section/box?
Thank you
Deco
