We are staying two days at the Colca Lodge and I am finding it difficult to get info regarding transport to the Lodge from Arequipa and then back to the airport from Colca Lodge. I don't want to bring my own sleeping bag for Inca Trail walk late January, but travel agent is advising against hiring locally as they say the hire ones may not be warm enough?.

Is this the case?

I need to pay the tour company a local charge in US dollars when I arrive in Lima. Will the Banks pay out US Dollars in Lima? Would it help if I take US dollar Traveller Cheques?
