Hi, I'm going to Krakow in the end of July with my boyfriend and we've booked a room at the Ibis hotel Krakow after reading the reviews on tripadvisor. I'm thinking of writing an e-mail to the hotel to ask for a room with a view, but since I never been to Krakow not to the hotel I don't know what view to to ask for. Any tips???

In early stages of planning Eastern European trip and wonder how many days to allocate to Krakow.

Hi everyone.



My girlfriend is going to Krakow with her mother and is looking to visit the saltmines. In her guidebook there is confusion over whether it is accessible both into and out of the mines by lift or whether there are hundreds of steps in one or both directions.



She is 74 with bunions so isn't going to want to do loads of steps!



And I'm not there to give her a piggy-back....

I'm taking some students to krakow (16-18yearolds) for 4 days. We have breakfast included but will need to eat out for lunch and dinner. Does anyone have any suggestions how much money a day they will need to eat? Simple stuff- not 3 course meals with wine etc.

Greetings. We are planning a family trip to Krakow late next month and one of the side trips is a few days in Wroclaw. Would a train be advisable for this trip, or must we rent a car? It is our first time in Poland and I haven't much information about the road system, but I hear the trains are good. Thanks for any help you have to offer.

Thinking about taking a long weekend (4d3n) just to get away from it all and krakow keeps popping up.



Will there be enough for a single traveler like me to do in Krakow? what can i do? As i dont speak a word of polish will it cause a lot of problem?



Not on a tight budget, although nothing over the top, but just something reasonable.

My girlfriend and i will be arriving In Krakow on August 23rd at 1pm.



On the 24th we plan to visit Auschwitz



On the 25th we plan to visit the Salt Mines



We then fly elsewhere on the 26th



So how much spending money would we need? We dont intend to drink a lot of alcohol, just a few beers or wine at night.



Just mainly on food and getting taxis around the city ...

We will be flying in to Krakow for one day in September to go see Aushwitz and hopefully view other parts of Krakow. What are some other sites that are worthwhile seeing while we are there?

We have never been there and i am of Polish decent so we are definitly keeping our ears and eyes open to new places.
