Me and two friends are off to Albufeira next Saturday. This is the first holiday that I will have to finance myself.



How much, on average, would do for an 18 year old for a week? Mainly just bothered about nightlife (drinking largely just local beers), a quick takeaway here and there, some food for the room and other general things?



Maybe someone who has done the same thing before could compare with me?

I am planning on staying in Lisbon for 10 days next September. We always like to stay in a hotel that is in walking--or metro--distance of the center of the "action"---meaning restaurants, places to walk around, etc. The Ritz and Barrio Alto are a bit high price wise--the price of the Le Meridien is fine but I am not reading much positive about it. I will spend about 300-350 a night.

Does anyone have any recomendations for nice apartments West of Lagos. Couple into surfing and the rugged coast in West of Algave going in September. Will hire a car so can have access to Lagos and other towns and beaches but want to stay slightly away from the main hussle - perhaps in small fishing village or similar?

We will be flying into Lisbon, Nov. 23 departing Nov. 27. It's a short time but we want to do as much as possible. Is it feasible to cover Obidos, Sintra and Lisbon in 5 days/4nights?

1. I would like to stay at "Stay at Cinco" in Sintro. Can this serve as our home base for a couple nights? Then Lisbon for another two?

2. Any recs for a stay in Lisbon with equal charm? ...

What is the minimum amount per day we will need in Lisbon for food and transportation? Any tips on how we can cut down costs?

We stayed here for the first 2 weeks of July which was relatively quiet. the apartments were clean and had a large pool at the rear. it was s short walk to the nearest shop (open 8am) and the Erin's Isle Complex witha reasonable priced good restaurant. Entertainment was repetitative at times here.



Best trips were the Jeep Safari with Mega Tours, the Zoo Marine and Slide and Splash - shop around for prices
