Anyone know of a coffee shop to get a nice breakfast? Nothing like starting the day off right....and having a good meal. If possible, close to Damrak as I don't want a journey 1st thing in the a.m.

Hi, I'm visiting Leiden in a couple of weeks, as I have business in both The Hague and Amsterdam. Can anyone recommend somewhere to eat (alone) in Leiden? What about The Hague - any recommendations there?

Best method of transportation from Amsterdam to Einhoven Airport? 2 adults and 2 kids

There is a museum in otterlo that has several Van Gogh paintings I'm really want to see. Is it far from Amsterdam? Has anyone been there I can't find much information about the city or museum anywhere other than the museum web site which seems to show a lot of great painting there.

We will be in Amsterdam for 1 week and are seeking day trips and short overnight trips.



So far we have tentative plans for day trips to Haarlem and the beach Zandvoort, and will also wonder around Amsterdam maybe going to Van Gogh museum, canal ride, and hang out in Vondelpark, and the Heinekin tour.



We are not big museum people! Would rather walk around old part of town, see sites, and soak in culture. ...

Am going to Amsterdam next week for 2 1/2 days so any advice as to what to do and see in such a short time would be appreciated.

Am staying at the Hilton (not airport one) and not sure how late transport runs as I have heard that taxis are quite pricey!

Has anyone heard of Apartment 195HS (sounds a bit strange)? It's rented by this tourist agency called Global Transfers. It's a company reviewed by Amsterdam.info. Most apartments cost (for 3 of us) 180 euros/night exc. tax.

Wonder if it's reliable or maybe the pictures seem too good to be true??

I'm taking my parents to Amsterdam (2-4th Jan) and they prefer 'homey' feel, hence hotel might be out of the question. Apartments are ideal but ...

Been to the Dam twice already, but am returning there in July for a couple of days.



Have done all the bars around the Red Light, and to be quite frank, I am pretty bored of them.



Would anyone here recommend districts within close proximity of the city centre that has lots of smart bars ?

I was originally travelling with my Girlfriend but she has decided she doesn't fancy Amsterdam again so I am now travelling with a mate. The standard of hotel we need is significantly less than had I travelled with my girlfriend.
