Hi all, I have a free week in South India. I am trying to choose between Kerala and Goa, Has anybody been to both?

Please help!

Goa is basically the land of beaches, parties and churches, if you are a beach person Goa is the place. Kerala is more of Nature, Ayurveda and relaxation with ofcourse a few beaches but none to compare with the likes and feel of Goa.

Thank you all, I will try to go to Goa, and make a day in Cochin, I believe there's a better train connection from there to Bangalore than from Goa.

Why don't you do 3-4 days in Goa and 3-4 days in Kerala?



Get your beach time in Goa, then take the train down to Kerala and stop in Kochi/Cochin. Spend a day there, then go to Alleppey and do an overnight houseboat on the backwaters. The backwaters are fantastic. You can take a speedboat from Cochi to Alleppey or drive.



If you don't want to travel so much, then fallingleaves is right. Kerala is more about history, nature, temples, relaxation, great food. HOWEVER, Goa has more to offer than just beaches. It also has portuguese history, catholic churches, hindu temples, forts, historic old city of Panjim, good food.

I have been in both the places.Both are quit nice.If u want to choose one then my suggestion will be a very open if u like parties, Night life, Sea food goa is a best or if you do not like these or feel fusy from all these then u should go to Kerala.if u like then u can also mail me on robert.william2000@yahoo.co.uk
