Recs for a good..decent..safe.. budget hotel dead center..Guesthouse/pensionalso suitable but no shared bathrooms..only with private facilities..Thxs1

yes, ive stayed there a couple of times and have booked again for janurary. clean rooms polite and helpful staff. breakfast is not fantastic but at 20lts per night you are not gonna get the Hilton are you? there is a supermarket across the road and cafes close by, plus public transport right outside the door if you cant be bothered walking. but it is only a 10 minute walk anyway. i have been to Riga 11 times now and used to stay in Hostels because i thought it was cheaper. i now take a 10 minute walk and book in hotels for the same price as the hostels... much cleaner and i get breakfast as well!

not right in the centre i know but if it's budjet youre after the 'Multilux' ...about a 10 min walk from the centre... 20lts per night for a twin ensuite room includes breakfast... per room!... 10lts each!.... bargain :)

Multilux hotel is located in a good place - very central as modern part of the town is concerned, no dodgy buildings nearby, many cafes and shops around. Two tram stops till the Old Town or 10-15 minutes walk.
