We will be staying at the Hotel Heritage on aTuesday night and have heard their $15 breakfast is not a good deal. Any comments would be welcomed on that subject. Can you suggest someplace nearby where we can experience a substantial, delicious breakfast? Thank you.

Thank you, Amboseli. Do you also have some favorites for lunch that would be a typically Belgian experience? We will be on foot, so in the area would be nice. And dinner that evening? (in the $30 range per person.)

I'm pretty sure Tearoom Verdi serves breakfast. It's on Vlamingstraat, which is around the corner from your hotel.

Brugge is so small that everything is easy to reach on foot.

For dinner (in your price range) I would suggest Tom's Diner on West Gistelhof. It's a little bit off the beaten path (10 min. walk max.) which adds to the experience. The building is very typical old Flemish style and also inside it looks like in a previous era. The food is delicious and they have something for everyone. Very friendly staff. http://users.pandora.be/tom.s.diner.bvba2/

Another one that I like is Bistro De Pompe on Kleine St. Amandsstraat.

PS You can get a detailed city map at the tourist office for a few eurocents.

I hear many good comments on Tom's Diner. Bistrot de Pompe will also be on our list. Thank you, Amboseli.
